Life stunk...I was stuck, WAY up high and way in the back corner in the gift shop of the Monte Carlo Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. I had been there for months. Nobody even touched me. A few times cute little grandmas would glance my way and mumble something about grandkids, then they'd grab the stupid little pink kitten next to me. Why me??? I was so bummed. Who the HECK would even put me in Las Vegas in the first place???? I belonged in a drug store in Wisconsin or something. I don't know. People are nuts.
Anyway, one morning. It was way too early for normal people to be awake in Las Vegas, so I knew this girl was special. She spotted me!!! Then she stretched real hard (she was short) to get to me, knocking down all the cutesy animals (this made me happy) in the process. Then she took me to her husband. She said "look, hun!!! A chicken!!! I cannot believe that I actually found a chicken in Las Vegas!!! Can I buy him???" And he laughed, scratched his head, adjusted his cap and said, "hun, hun, hun...I don't care." And that was it...she was hooked. She loves me!!! I now have a home!!! Life has never been the same.....................................
